Aguijón Theater Company, el Museo Nacional de Arte Mexicano y el Instituto Cervantes de Chicago presentarán el Premio Internacional de Dramaturgia Aguijón Theater 2022 a La pastilla de la felicidad de Carla Guimarães (Brasil/España) y la Mención de Honor a Win Win de Diego Pereira (Argentina).
Después de la ceremonia, Aguijón Theater presentará la lectura dramatizada de la pieza ganadora, La pastilla de la felicidad de Carla Guimarães.
El Concurso Internacional de Dramaturgia Aguijón Theater (antes Concurso Internacional de Dramaturgia Hispana de Chicago) fue fundado en 2014 por Aguijón Theater Company con el apoyo y la colaboración del Instituto Cervantes de Chicago. Esta quinta edición también cuenta con la colaboración del Museo Nacional de Arte Mexicano de Chicago. El propósito principal de este concurso bienal es promover los trabajos escénicos contemporáneos de autores que escriben y sueñan en español, sin importar su país de residencia.

Aguijón Theater Company, the National Museum of Mexican Art, and the Instituto Cervantes of Chicago will officially present the Aguijón Theater International Playwriting Award 2022 to La pastilla de la felicidad by Carla Guimarães (Brazil/Spain) and the Honorable Mention to Win Win by Diego Pereira (Argentina).
Immediately following the ceremony, Aguijón Theater will present a staged reading of the winning play, La pastilla de la felicidad by Carla Guimarães.
The Aguijón Theater International Playwriting Contest (formerly International Hispanic Playwriting Contest of Chicago) was founded in 2014 by Aguijón Theater Company with the support and collaboration of the Instituto Cervantes of Chicago. This fifth edition counts with the additional support of Chicago’s National Museum of Mexican Art. The main purpose of this biennial contest is to promote contemporary stage works by authors who write and dream in Spanish, regardless of their country of residence.
